Anche se negli Stati Uniti i premi più prestigiosi della musica sono tre: Grammy Awards, American Music Awards e Billboard Awards, in aggiunta ad essi c’è un’altra statuetta molto ambita, però riservata solo agli artisti del mondo black: i BET Awards.
Si tratta della 26esima edizione dei Black Entertainment Television Awards e si è svolta al Peacock Theater di Los Angeles. L’evento è stato presentato da Druski. L’artista con più nominations è stata Cardi B, mentre i vincitori della serata sono stati Teyana Taylor ed i Clipse con 3 awards a testa.
