Il trofeo per il Most Valuable Player della stagione si chiamerà “Michael Jordan Trophy”.
Il trofeo di bronzo presenta un giocatore che esce da una roccia per raggiungere un pallone da basket di cristallo.
Dal basso verso l’alto, la patina del trofeo diventa più raffinata, a significare il duro lavoro e la progressione dell’MVP dall’ingresso nella lega al raggiungimento del maggiore premio individuale.
L’NBA ha intitolato gli altri KIA Awards ad altre leggende della lega:
Il Clutch Player of the Year si chiamerà “Jerry West Trophy”
Il Defensive Player of the Year si chiamerà “Hakeem Olajuwon Trophy”
Il Rookie of the Year si chiamerà “Wilt Chamberlain Trophy”
