Ieri notte si è svolta la 34esima edizione degli MTV Video Music Awards, per la seconda volta nella storia al The Forum di Inglewood, in California. 
L’evento è stato presentato da Katy Perry, mentre il pre-show è stato hostato da Lil Yachty. L’artista ad aver vinto più statuette in assoluto è Beyoncé con 24, mentre il rapper più premiato dei VMA è Eminem con 12 awards.
A trionfare nell’edizione di quest’anno è stato Kendrick Lamar che, dopo aver conquistato 8 nominations, ha portato a casa ben 6 premi, tra cui l’ambito “Video of the Year”.
Gli altri rapper ad aver vinto sono stati: Gucci Mane in “Best Pop” per il featuring con Fifth Harmony, Kanye West in “Best Choreography” con “Fade”, Young Thug in “Best Editing” con “Wyclef Jean” ed infine Lil Uzi Vert in “Song Of Summer” con “XO Tour Llif3”.
Ai VMA 2017 si sono esibiti: Cardi B, Bleachers, Khalid, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Lil Uzi Vert, Julia Michaels, Shawn Mendes, Lorde, Fifht Harmony, Gucci Mane, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Pink, Kyle, James Arthur, Alessia Cara, Logic, Thirty Second To Mars, Travis Scott, Rod Stewart, DNCE, Katy Perry e Nicki Minaj.
