MTV VMA 2012: SINTESI & VINCITORI

Sono i One Direction i protagonisti nell'edizione 2012 dei VMA. La band britannica ha infatti portato a casa 3 premi: Best New Artist, Best Pop Video e Most Share-Worthy Video. Gli MTV VIdeo Music Awards 2012 si sono svolti, per la prima volta, allo Staples Center di Los Angeles e lo show si è tenuto nella stessa serata della Convention democratica in cui Barack Obama ha fatto il suo discorso. L'evento è stato presentato dal comico Kevin Hart e si è aperto con la performance live di Rihanna che ha portato a casa il premio di Video Of The Year. Il Best Hip-Hop Video è stato vinto da Drake e Lil Wayne con il brano "HYFR". Le performance live sono state di: Rihanna, Pink, Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean, One Direction, Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift e Green Day.
